VVDI Prog Programmer Test on Different Computer Feedback:

did a few tests today and this is what I found out.

It seems that VVDI prog reading speed is dependent on the processor speed of the computer.

CAS3 0L15Y flash read times

Centrino processor @ 1.6ghz Windows XP = 12mins

Core2 Duo processort @ 2.5ghz Windows 7 32 bit = 5 mins

i7 @ 4.4ghz Windows 7 64 bit = 2mins 30 seconds.

Other programmers do not seem to be affected by processor speed at all.

I also would of thought this was a fairly easy question to answer without me doing all the testing

VVDI Prog Reviews:
2004 Suzuki Jimny:
The first job i did with this kit was actually a 2004 Suzuki Jimny, literally within around 30 – 45 minutes of the parcel being delivered. The software was quick and easy to install (No cd provided, need to download from dealer website and update to latest version).

Anyway, for the Suzuki i used the VVDI-prog with the EEPROM clip adapter to read the immobox 24c01 in-circuit. Then using the VVDI2 immobiliser data tool, i was able to create a dealer key with an Xhorse 4d/4c chip. Write the new dump back to the immobox with VVDI-prog, put it all back together and worked first time thankfully after previous failed attempts with other devices.
Anyway end goal complete and happy with the new purchase

BMW EWS3:
I did some testing on the bench with a BMW EWS3 using VVDI2 with the CAS adapter cable (Needs external 12Vdc supply). It reads the EWS ok, but can’t write a file back to EWS.
I will try reading the EWS3+ that is in my car and produce a dealer key for it.

The file change km’ seems to read from dump ok, and will allow you to modify file with new km (untested on car though). If i get some time later on will try read/write with VVDIprog.

3. About BMW ISN function?which bmw car models does it support?

A: If your BMW car is supported,the ISN will display automatically in the software.

4. When i try to update,it got error "Unable to find equipment "

A:Please check driver installation and vvdi prog connection,try to update again.

5. Will VVDI Prog support BMW isn coding function?
A: No,VVDI Prog is used to read chip data,it can support read BMW ISN.

6. VVDI Prog can do BMW CAS4 or not?
A: Yes,it can support,you can download the newest VVDI Prog software,and check type in software.

7.VVDI PROG 95640 read OK and write not (write error on the beginning).
A: In this case check the eeprom package BEFORE any operation, bcose the operating voltage is clearly marked

The last digit is “S” = 1.8V-3.6V
You have to adjust the vvdi voltage to the correct value (default is 4.5V)

8.VVDI Prog sprinter w906 eis reading via new ST questions and answer

Question:

VVDI Pro sprinter w906 eis reading via new ST. adapter is not working, had to use V1 flash cable to read the eeprom.

Answer:

the connections points on PCB must be sure cleaned before !!!

not only take pcb from eis case and quickly put to EZS adapter and await 100% result in 1 seconds like many other users…

Question:

Spent an hour moving it slightly, even tried sprinter 2006- from the drop down menu , but with no luck ,V1 flash cable job at the end.

Answer: of course work only right choice when use EZS adapter….and dont forget to use external +12V power

Question: Didn't clean the pcb mate, of course 12v connected, but i looked under the mag. it seemed that the pins are slightly off! oh well the job is finished , i will check the next one , or buy one to check. thanks mate.

Answer: every time need to have some donor pcs on stock….not wait until is needed

9. When read Benz EIS is OK,but write or verify got error,how can i solve?

A:Please go to setting >>environment,tick off the slection.
